Best Chrome Addons
Thu, 18 Nov 2010Here is a selection of my top picks for the Best Chrome Addons. Many of them are focused on web development and productivity, since JREAM is primarily about such things, here goes the list! The direct link to the plugin is provided below.
Xmarks
Synchronize over multiple computers, and web browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer.
Direct LinkJSShell
Interactive Javascript with jQuery and jLinq
Direct LinkStylebot
Simplify customizing the web, making it more accessible and adaptable. It puts you in control of the web's presentation, allowing you to quickly change the appearance of any page. If you are editing a layout it will display the CSS changes that you can implement in your own CSS file, easier than Firebug in my opinion.
Direct LinkWeb Developer Toolbar
Adds a toolbar button to the browser with various web developer tools.
Direct LinkFirebug Lite
The lite version for Chrome does not have the JavaScript shell like in firefox, however you can still view/modify CSS, HTML elements, DOM elements, and Box Model shading.
Direct LinkFlash Block
Flash elements are replaced with a placeholder, it allows you to load only selected flash items on a given page. You can also manage a whitelist of allowed websites via a configuration panel.
Direct LinkGoogle Chrome has a ton of other addons you can checkout. I like that addons install instantly and don't require a browser reload, hopefully firefox gets that as well! These are in my opinion the Best Chrome Addons for me, and I hope you like them too. Thanks to all the authors who've put in such great work!
